Porsha and Marshall gaze into a vast forest.
SPIRIT, an Afro-futurist and -surrealist theater project from poet-playwrights Porsha Olayiwola and Marshall "Gripp" Gillson is seeking talented black character actors of all genders to fill its cast. Readings will be for the cast, not for specific roles, so come prepared to play an Afro-futuristic app developer, a grieving childhood friend, an opinionated devil's-advocate, or the leader of a posse on a mission for closure. Auditions will be held evenings from July 22-25. For more information and to reserve an audition slot, forward your headshot, resumé, and availability on those nights to auditions@spirit.land. Production is funded by The Boston Foundation. All members of the cast will be paid for rehearsals and performances.
